Chris Bianco

Chris, who won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Southwest in 2003, helped spawn a generation of independent and artisanal pizzeria’s, lending his advice, wisdom and food philosophies to dozens of fellow chefs and restaurateurs. For years, it has been a common sight to find lines forming at the Pizzeria early in the afternoon, with foodies from all over and locals alike queuing up in anticipation of getting a table and enjoying what has been called the best pizza in America. In 2013 & 2014, Pizzeria Bianco was nominated for a James Beard Award in the Outstanding Restaurant category. In addition, Chris also supports many local and national charities, providing support to many worthy causes.

Nectar of the Gods

An agave experience.

Agave has long been worshiped by locals of the region for its life-giving properties and abundant uses. At Lost Lake, we're celebrating this desert plant the best way we know how– tequila*! At Nectar Of The Gods, get in the spirit with tasting flights of Anejo, reposado, blanco and mezcal, or discover the rich history of the agave plant through a selection of artisanal cocktails featuring the flavors of the Southwest. Whether you’re a maestro of mezcal or a blanco beginner, there's something for everyone to savor. So have a taste, grab a bite and relax as you pay homage to this sacred plant at Lost Lake.

If you want to be particular, we’re showcasing mezcal - did you know that all tequilas are mezcal, but not all mezcals are tequila? Just one of the many things you’ll learn when you spend time at Nectar of the Gods.

FOUNDation

Other non-profits featured in the FOUNDation include, Sonoran Prevention Works, Life Under the Wheel, the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence, Roosevelt Row CDC, Phoenix Center for the Arts, Phoenix Public Works and many others. Stay tuned for a full list!

Art of the valley

We’re featuring the best of Roosevelt Row and beyond at Lost Lake Festival through Art of the Valley. Local heroes and national head turners the Fortoul Brothers are bringing their unique illustrative style - influenced by their fascination with dreams, mystery and evocative symbols - to Lost Lake’s three major stages. Additionally, an eclectic array of talented artists will be live painting murals throughout the grounds all weekend long, creating new and stunning opportunities each day to celebrate the Valley’s vibrant art scene - and of course, to take some selfies!

Featuring The Fortoul Brothers

Gabriel and Isaac Fortoul are an outstandingly prolific pair totally dedicated to unfolding their creativity as a way of life. Their art has been evolving and will continue to evolve in search of the purest style combining everyday observation with mystical symbolism. Their pieces are the product of philosophical meditation on the ultimate meaning of human existence and on how to live closer to nature and in touch with the elemental forces of the cosmos. The Fortoul Brothers art is influenced by their preoccupation with dreams, mystery and evocative symbols. The result is a combination of the ordinary with suggestions of the extraordinary in a single peice of work, thus leaving all final interpretation open to debate but always touching the deepest emotional fibers of the viewer.

Festival fun for the whole family.

Even the tiniest humans among us are invited to the celebration at Lost Lake Festival. Silly Slope Kids Area is a zone for families to experience music and play together, presented by the Children’s Museum of Phoenix. Kids can create their own rattles, tambourines and kazoos to contribute to the cacaphony - who knows, they may headline the festival someday! If your little one is more of a festival fashionista than a member of the band, they can make wacky hats and wiggly wristbands to wear with flair. Activities are ongoing at the festival each day from doors until 6pm, and entry to the festival is free for children ages 9 and under.

Times:
Friday 2pm to 6pm
Saturday 12:30pm to 6pm
